Tegueste - hiking vacation

In the north of Tenerife, under the Anaga mountains, the village of Tegueste is located. The university town of La Laguna is a few kilometres to the east.

In the historic centre of the village with its restaurated houses and their old wooden balconies you will some restaurants, where you can enjoy the original cararic dishes.

The area is characterised by agriculture and laurel trees and there are many fiestas in the area.

The forrest "Boswue de la Esperanza" is located south from Tegueste. From here you can start many long hiking tours.

From Tegueste it is about 5km to the coast. The village of Bajamar offers several nice seawater pools and in Bebijo you will find a wonderful bay to bath - the Playa de Benijo.
