The town of Playa de las Americas
In the South-West of Tenerife, only few kilometers from Los Cristianos away, you will find the tourist centre Playa de las Américas. Hard to believe, but this is true that Playa de las Américas once used to be a small place. Nowadays the town spreads out already over the hills. You can't really call this place beautiful or recreative. Nevertheless, Playa Las Americas is like a magnet for many tourists. Especially if you are looking for action and fun day and night during your holidays - you are exactly right here. Right at the back of the beach you will find one hotel complex right after the other. There are shopping centres, big restaurants, shopping facilities, night clubs etc.
