The holiday destination Golf del Sur is an active city at the southwest coast of Tenerife. It is placed close to the community San Miguel de Abona, which is a very popular destination for families and couples. There are many different restaurants and a wonderful boardwalk which connects Golf del Sur with the new San Blas. From here, you can walk straight to the fishermen's village Los Abrigos.

When you are in Los Abrigos, you should try one of the fish restaurants which are very good. Here is a little harbour where fishermen are still going out with the boat to catch fresh fish. All year long, they celebrate typical Canarian feasts/ festivals on the plaza. Most people who live here, are locals. Furthermore, there is a small natural bay where you can go swimming.
The next beaches in the area are: Playa de Tejita (nudist beach) ca. 5 km, El Médano (natural beach) ca. 6,5 km. To get to the beaches in Los Cristianos and Playa Las Americas, you need around 15 minutes by car.
Golf del Sur and the golf course
The landscape in Golf del Sur consists mainly of many green areas, palm-lined streets and the golf course with fantastic views. The town was named after the 27-hole-golf course with its beautiful landscape, local flowers, cactuses and other colourful plants. This championship golf course has quite difficult holes, and impressing canyon with coloursful rocks and a clubhouse! Golf players from all over the world go on vacation on the island of eternal spring to play their favourite game at mild temperatures.
