Original Canarian Cottage in Chirche - Tenerife south

This cottage lies in the sleepy little village Chirche on the south-westerly coast of Tenerife. More original Canarian ist not possible. This cottage is an original country house which was restored, whereat the historical architecture was preserved. Such houses are controlled by the tourism authority before they are rented.

Chirche lies in the middle of a landscape of pine forests, mountains and impressive gorges. It offers a wonderful view of the sea, the coast and even to the national park, where you can watch amazing sunsets. Almost every house of this small village is from the 18th or 19th century. That is why Chirche is one of the few villages in Tenerife in which time seems to be standing still.
The National Park of the Teide is just 10km away. Quiet beaches with black sand can be found within a distance of 20km.
In Chirche there is a so called Mirador, a viewpoint offering a fantastic view of the coast, farr across the ocean and sometimes even to La Gomera. Furthermore, a restaurant with a terrace on which can enjoy your meal and drinks under the sun.
The environment contains various interesting trails on which you can discover a lot of ethnografical elements, such as tiled stoves, threshing floors and tar ovens. Those can tell you something about the history of the people who had been living there.

Within 5 minutes you have reached the next village including shops and supermarkets. The ones who like some action during their holiday can go diving, sailing, paragliding, fishing and play golf or tennis.

The ancient Canarian house consists of two floors. From the roof terrace you can watch wonderful sunsets.
The house is comfortably furnished. The living room contains a fireplace which creates a romantic and coy ambience.
There are 3 bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other two ones with two single beds each. The kitchen is completely equipped. Furthermore, there is a bathroom, an inner courtyard as well as a small roof terrace.
The ceilings and floors are made of wood. Additional comforts are a washing machine, drier and satellite tv.

In case of the necessity of more space for group vacations the entry courtyard to the house Carmela can be opened up.
