Icod de los Vinos is also known by the "thousand year old dragon tree" with 25m height and about 10m stem diameter which is the town's landmark. Here is a beautiful natural park with stories about the "Guanchen" time and a cave.
Above Icod de los Vinos is the entrance to the lava cave "Cueva del Viento" a level system with a currently known length of about 17km. The oldest parts of the cave are caused by the eruption of the Pico Viejo before about 27,000 years ago.
