A Canary village in the middle of a fascinating landscape
The Canary village of Chío belongs to the municipality of Guía de Isora and is the perfect place to spend quiet holidays, away from the usual mass tourism. Already on the way to Chío, you have a wonderful view of the Atlantic Coast and the impressive mountain landscape of the Teide National Park on the opposite side.
The region around Chío is ideal for biking, hiking and experiencing nature. In less than 30 minutes, you are in the national park "Cañadas del Teide".
The landscape in this region is impressive and beautiful: jagged lava formations, pine trees, wild herbs and everything shimmers in all the colours of the rainbow.
Chío is also a good starting point for excursions into the interior, e. g. to the Masca gorge or the north side to Buenavista.
The sunny south-west coast of the island with many sandy beaches can be reached within 20 minutes by car.
Those who are interested in typical Canary delicacies will discover what they are looking for in the shop "Delicias del Sol". Here you can buy self-made mojo, marmalade and chutney.
