Chayofa - away from the bustle, nevertheless centrally located

The garden city of Chayofa on Tenerife, in a hillside location, is situated above the tourist centres of Los Cristianos and Las Américas and belongs to the municipality of Arona.

In Chayofa, also called "the green garden city", almost exclusively Germans and English have settled down. The appearance of the town is characterised by villas with magnificent gardens in a hillside location and small one-way streets. Life here is contemplative and due to the location, near the tourist centres, you are very close to the beach, the surrounding golf courses and where the action is.
In Chayofa, there is everything you need: small supermarkets, restaurants and bars. You can visit for example an exhibition of craft work on the finca Arte and in the evening, you can have a drink or try culinary food.
There are a hotel and a tennis court in Chayofa.

In Estefania - just before Chayofa - there are several apartment complexes with private holiday apartments and another hotel. You find an interesting attraction in Estefania - the Aquillas Parque/Jungle Park. Here you cross hanging bridges and walk through the jungle towards (wild :-) ) animals. The view from Chayofa to Los Cristianos is fantastic, especially at night when you see the sparkling sea of lights on the coast.
